Green Flag Project
Our Green Flag Project is an initiative designed to motivate and inspire our depots to enhance sustainability practices and reduce CO2 emissions while fostering biodiversity and making a positive social impact in their local communities.
Depots are evaluated across four key categories: Energy, Vehicles, Waste, and Community. Those achieving key milestones receive a Green Flag plaque in recognition of their efforts.
Local Sustainability Wins
DPD depots all across Ireland have implemented impactful sustainability measures, including:
- Energy Efficiency: Installation of LED lighting, condensing boilers, and renewable energy contracts to lower CO2 emissions.
- Waste Management: Initiatives like rainwater harvesting and the use of reusable mugs and bottles.
- Community Support: Collaborating with local charities, sponsoring sports teams, and providing CPR training for staff.
